Payments

Getting paid from your profile.

There are three ways, and they differ on one thing: who holds the money. Two of them only point to a page you already use. The third, the Donate button, is collected for you.

The three routes

You collect

A link to your payment page

Any page where you already get paid: a payment link from your bank or your payment provider, a booking page, a membership form. It is an ordinary link on your profile. myOolala does not connect to that provider and never sees the payment.

You collect

A shop or a tip jar

Each item shows a title, a price you write, an image, and opens the page where the sale happens. An item without a link is shown for information only. There is no checkout inside myOolala.

Oolala Next FZ-LLC collects

A Donate button

A button on your profile opens a payment page headed with your name. The gift is collected by Oolala Next FZ-LLC on your behalf, through Stripe.

Fees

Our 5% per transaction applies only where myOolala collects the payment: the Donate button. When a visitor pays through a link or a shop item, the payment happens on another service, and myOolala takes nothing. That service's own fees apply. Plan prices are on the pricing page.

Questions

Does myOolala take a cut when someone pays through a link on my profile?

No. A link to your own payment page, and every shop item, sends the buyer to that page. The payment happens there, under that provider's terms and fees. myOolala never receives the money.

Who collects the money when someone uses my Donate button?

Oolala Next FZ-LLC, on your behalf, through Stripe Checkout. The payment page says so, and says the gift is not tax-deductible. Gifts are in US dollars, from 5 to 10,000 USD each, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the donor receives an email receipt.

What does the 5% per transaction apply to?

To payments myOolala collects for you, which today means the Donate button. Links to your own payment provider and shop items carry no myOolala fee.

Keep the way you already get paid.

Put the link on the profile that needs it, or turn on donations when you are ready.
